Sn0wbreeze v2.1 has been released this month from the developer iH8sn0w that works for iOS 4.1 on iPod Touch 3G/4G (all bootroms), iPhone 3G/3GS/4G and iOS 3.2.2 on iPad. Also, it has been expected to support Apple TV 2.
The tools has been observed to let you use a custom firmware without upgrading your unlockable baseband which could be preserved to use Ultresn0w’s existing version. It has been really a great advantage from the newest tool from iH8sn0w.
Sn0wbreeze 2.1 has been similar to Pwnage Tool for Mac which has been developed by the popular Dev Team as it also has been allowing users to use custom IPSW file without upgrading current bandwidth so that the users can unlock their iOS 4.1 with Ultresn0w’s existing version.
The functional instructions have been the same like the last release. The iOS 4.2 has not been yet expected to support by this tool. For the users who want to get to know about how to jailbreak their iDevice with Sn0wbreeze, the instructions have been given below. You can download the tool from the links given in many community websites. Spirit2Pwn has not been necessary from the very first steps onwards.
It has been necessary to download and then install the new version of iTunes. Then you can start with iTunes. Sync your device (iPhone) with your computer system and it would back-up all the important data. The data include apps, settings, contacts, photos and music.
Then you can download the tool Sn0wbreeze 2.1 and the original firmware file of iOS 4.1 for your iDevice version. Then you can move all the files to the desktop. Start Sn0wbreeze and select ‘Mode Expert’.
Then you have been expected to be asked to browse .ipsw file. It has been important to select the exact .ipsw firmware file of iOS 4.1. The tools will verify the file you have selected.
Sn0wbreeze will create the custom IPSW file for your device that will be jailbroken. Restore the device to the custom firmware 4.1, click sidebar in iTunes and press and hold the button ‘shift’. Release that ‘shift’ button after clicking the ‘Restore’ button in iTunes.
You can then sit back and see iTunes doing the rest of the process for you. These all have been automated steps. Make sure that you do not do anything silly that time and stay patient.
Once the jailbreaking has been done, you can restore all apps, music, settings, photos and contacts by restoring back-up.
